Lot 1211
United States - New York. Albany, undated. Unrecorded in any reference. A very important highlight in this collection and possibly a discovery piece. It is of similar appearance to the Schenectady, NY piece illustrated in Bason's reference. This is a possible unique token from the US. Although holed and worn, the legends are still readable. A fascinating piece for the church history of US. The token is in AG condition, holed.
Estimated Value $4,500-UP.

Lot 1216
United States - South Carolina. Charleston, 1800. NGC graded EF-40 Gold Sticker. WINGS Approved. BR-1411, CR-1224, AB-392, W-31. Silver. Nice old time toning on both sides. This amazing piece is one of the most historic items in this collection. About only 300 of these tokens were hand engraved in England for the white members of the congregation. About only 14 examples estimated to have survived until today.

During the Civil War, northern troops took the city of Charleston. A number of these tokens were thought to have been taken from their safe as trophies by some of the soldiers. This particular piece has a direct link to a recipient of the Medal of Honor. During the battle of Kennesaw Mountain on June 27, 1864, Musician Fife Major Allison Webber (86th Illinois) used a repeating rifle with 120 rounds to cover the rescue of wounded and the construction of protective earth works. This piece was purchased from a great grandson of Allison's brother after having been in the family since the Civil War.
Estimated Value $3,500-UP.
