2 Signed Photos by The Greatest Child Stars of Hollywood's Golden Age, Shirley Temple, Jackie Cooper (Hurrell). Two vintage original double-weight studio portraits of Shirley Temple and Jackie Cooper, BOTH SIGNED WHEN CHILDREN. The first is a 14" x 11" portrait of Jackie Cooper by acclaimed MGM photographer George Hurrell (name blind embossed in lower right corner) inscribed and signed by Jackie Cooper as a child "To Dean, How's the still camera? Sincerely Yours, Jackie Cooper" in black fountain pen. Photo has two tiny paper lifts in background and one on sleeve and two chipped lower corner tips, otherwise photo remains quite nice printed in warm sepia. The other is an 8" x 10" portrait of the legendary Shirley Temple inscribed and signed by Temple as a child to acclaimed band leader, Shep Fields, who conducted the Rippling Rhythm Orchestra. Photo printed in warm sepia and is in excellent condition.

2 Signed Portrait Stills of Gertrude Lawrence and Yul Brynner, Broadway's First, "The King and I". Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I made its Broadway debute in 1951 to rapturous acclaim and awards. Winning the Tony for Best Musical as the legendary performance of stars, Gertrude Lawrence and Yul Brynner. Offered are two 8" x 10" signed portrait photos, a vintage original still of Dame Gertrude Lawrence who triumphed in this production, but deteriorating health had her exit fully the production in 1952 passing in March. Well known story that 24 hours prior to her passing she instructed the producer to add co-star, Yul Brynner's name to the marquee. The second signed 8" x 10" still is of Yul Brynner boldly signed in his unique hand, this likely from the 1976-77 revival. Both in excellent condition with the Lawrence particularly scarce.

Two giants of the music scene represented in these two autographed portraits both 8" x 10" the first of Bono lead singer of U2 likely from the late 1980's and a great color image signed boldly in silver Flair. The second a stunning black and white image of Phil Collins at the heigh of his solo career, this an original photo signed by the photographer Bill Cooper July '90 in gold in lower right corner then signed by Phil Collins in silver pen. The images are handsome, the signatures excellent.

3 Legends of the Horror Genre - Lanchester, Price, and Knox Signed Photos. For collectors of vintage horror, three absolute must-have signed portraits. First, Elsa Lanchester in her iconic role as the bride of the Monster in Bride of Frankenstein. Second, a wonderful portrait of Vincent Price, clearly cinema's most prolific and beloved lead actor in the horror genre, nicely signed and inscribed. And finally, Elyse Knox best known as the co-star in the 1942 production of The Mummy's Tomb (and mother to Mark Harmon). All three photos are excellent vintage re-strikes boasting original, bold signatures.

3 Striking Oversized, Vintage Original Signed Portraits - Myrna Loy, John Boles, Gene Autry. 3 striking 11" x 14" double-weight, vintage original portraits all in warm sepia with lovely inscriptions and signatures and all three JSA graded. Myrna Loy, looking as always, impossibly beautiful (note, two scratches, one along face of sculpture and a small scratch at hairline of Loy quite easily restored), Texas born, John Boles, a fantastic portrait of the co-star of Frankenstein and many other Hollywood classics, a major Hollywood heart throb discovered by Gloria Swanson who prior to his film career proved an able spy for America during WWI in Germany and Turkey, signed and dated 1938, and finally a classic image of film, radio, television Western star and powerful media and sports magnate. Gene Autry was also the first artist to be awarded a Gold Record and composed and recorded countless monster hits including "Back In The Saddle Again," "Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer" and "Here Comes Santa Claus" proving an astounding entertainer and businessman spanning 3 generations.

Three vintage original 8" x 10" signed photos of legendary Oscar winning actresses including a stunningly beautiful Ingrid Bergman, a remarkable early portrait of Joan Crawford signed in fountain pen and written on verso obtained "late at night at The Waldorf, Monday April, 11", a lovely Bette Davis (JSA graded) from All About Eve with photo trimmed to 7 1/2" x 9", and a restrike studio publicity still of Janet Gaynor, the very first actress and woman to win an Academy Award. All of the images boast bold signatures with the Bergman photo especially lovely.

4 Stunning Oversized Portraits - Clark Gable, Rosalind Russell, Jane Wyman and Victor Moore. A collection of 4 oversized portrait photos. First a striking black and white portrait photo of Clark Gable. Photo is a vintage original double-weight portrait and measures 10" x 13" with two mild creases in upper and lower left corners due to handling but otherwise, quite nice and in no way significantly impact the image. Next a beautiful 11" x 14" of Rosalind Russell, absolutely gorgeous in this double-weight photo likely from the 1940's and in excellent condition with only the slightest soft corner tips. Third, a very lovely image of Jane Wyman from 1939, a pre-publicity still for The Kid From Kokomo which measures 10¼" x 13½". On verso is a large publicity slug selling Ms. Wyman on her talents and appeal, and also stamped Warner Bros. with a photo credit by Schuyler Crail. A very nice piece. Finally a handsome 11" x 14" portrait still, double-weight and in warm sepia tones of Victor Moore, inscribed, signed and dated 1936. Victor Moore was a very well known star of both stage and screen, featured in over 50 films in the 1930's-40's including Swingtime and Make Way For Tomorrow. Further he co-starred in a number of historic plays and musicals including the original production of Anything Goes with Ethel Merman. Portrait is handsigned by acclaimed celebrity photographer, Herbert Mitchell in white India ink in lower left corner. Phot in overall excellent condition.

Clark Gable, "The King" of the Golden Age of Hollywood boasting a career that spanned 30 years and featured in almost 70 films winning an Academy Award for Best Actor for It Happened One Night and nominated for Gone With The Wind and Mutiny on the Bounty. His youthful image here in a paper printed, hand-tinted, striking handsome color portrait and is boldly inscribed and signed by Gable in black fountain pen. Photo 8¼" x 11¼" is sleeved and matted for protection and is in very fine condition with no evidence of fading with only the slightest measure of wear from handling, remarkable given the years. No printing or writing on verso but white paper toned from the years. A knockout piece.

Collection of 4 Signed Vintage Original Portraits of Marion Davies. A fine collection of 4 vintage original, double-weight, sepia toned and signed 8" x 10" portraits of Marion Davies. Davies, originally a Ziegfeld Follies star found her way into film and was featured in over 40 productions, most from the silent era and proved herself quite capable especially in comedy. Unfortunately she found herself shoe-horned into dramas as spear headed by her 30+ years mentor and romantic interest, legendary newspaper mogul, William Randolph Hearst where her talents weren't quite up to measure, nevertheless fine. Davies also proved herself quite a career savior for Hearst when his papers began to bleed red by selling well over a million dollars of her jewelry to help him through critical financial challenges. Offered are 4 great portraits from throughout her career some in striking and elaborate costumes. But it was her status and her unique relationship to Hearst, and as the legendary hostess of Hearst Castle that made her more than just a filmed entertainment footnote of the 20th century. Photos and signatures in overall quite fine condition with minor evidence of handling.

First a vintage still from The Seven Little Foys beautifully inscribed and signed in black fountain pen by Bob Hope and in excellent condition. A vintage restrike portrait still of Peter Lorre inscibed and signed by him in blue fountain pen and also a very nice piece and note, fairly scarce. Next a vintage, at-home publicity still, double-weight and measuring 10" x 8" in warm sepia tone of Wallace Beery at his lathe, inscribed and signed as "Wally". Photo has chipping, a corner tear and crazing, so while the signature and inscription is in very nice condition (rendered in black fountain pen), the photo would at best be graded fair. Next a superb formal, double-weight portrait of Rudy Vallee from Maillard-Kesslere photography studio in New York in beautiful sepia, boldly signed by Vallee in blue fountain pen and in excellent conditon. Finally a very handsome double-weight, black and white portrait of Robert Walker beautifully inscribed and signed as "Bob" in white India ink and in excellent condition.

Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift - Collection of 2 Signed Photos. A Place In The Sun, released in 1951, received the Academy Award for Best Picture, Director and Best Screenplay. The film also delivered what acclaimed critic Andrew Sarris called, "The most beautiful couple in the history of cinema" with the pairing of Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift. They would go on to co-star in two other films and remain close friends until Clift's passing. Offered is a stunning vintage re-strike publicity photo of Taylor and Clift signed and dated in 1980 when Taylor was married to Senator John Warner. Coupled is a publicity still of Montgomery Clift signed in the early 1960's from Elia Kazan's, Wild River. Both signatures in excellent condition, with the Clift piece particularly scarce.

Ginger Rogers - Rare Three Color Carbro Signed Print Plus Original Magazine Cover by Photographer James N. Doolittle. Ginger Rogers, Academy Award winning actress for Kitty Foyle starred in scores of beloved and classic films most notably as the romantic interest and mesmerizing dancing partner to Fred Astaire. Rogers proved herself the consummate actress in both comedy and drama and was featured in over 75 films, her best work in the 1930's and 40's. Offered here is a rare and beautiful three color carbro color print from 1936 laid to matte, photographer's label on verso and with Rogers inscribing and signing beautifully in lower left corner. Doolittle's remarkable color work has been featured in numerous gallery and museum exhibitions and recognized as one of the fore runners of color photography in the fields of commercial portraiture, advertising and journalism. This can clearly be seen with the included magazine cover using the photograph on the June 1936 edition of Movie Mirror. Both in excellent condition.

First a leggy Ginger Rogers, this the photo used for one of the two original posters for the funny and well regarded 1942 film Roxie Hart, boldly signed by Rogers, both as Roxie Hart and Ginger Rogers (JSA graded). Photo does exhibit rippling in upper top border with a tiny crease just above the head but not appreciably distracting and could easily be pressed. The other photo, a beautiful close-up of 30's - 40's boxoffice superstar, Alice Faye whose popularity in both film and recording was extraordinary at the time.

GONE WITH THE WIND - 6 Signed Photos of Cast Members including Leigh, Gable and de Havilland. Signed photos from cast members of the motion picture epic, Gone With The Wind. First a lovely 5" x 6½" portrait signed by Vivien Leigh in white border (always scarce). Second a handsome 7½ x 9½ portrait of Clark Gable and while the photo has crazing throughout and touch up at the tip of nose, the signature in fountain pen is exceptionally bold and fine and presents nicely. Third is a lovely portrait of Olivia de Havilland with a fine signature (JSA graded), followed by cast member Ann Rutherford (also signed as Carreen O'Hara, her character), and child actors Mickey Kuhn and Cammie King as Beau Wilkes and Bonnie Blue respectively in their scenes from the film.

Jean Harlow and William Powell Autographs, Dated 1936, Yosemite National Park. Jean Harlow, "The Blonde Bombshell" became an international star when Howard Hughes cast her in Hell's Angels Soon after, great success followed with such films as The Public Enemy, Iron Man and Platinum Blonde. Then at MGM she became a superstar with Dinner at Eight, Red Dust, Bombshell and many more. Her close friendship with William Powell is legendary and these two autographs were obtained while both vacationing in the mid 1930s in Yosemite National Park. Autographed sheet is beautifully displayed and matted with a stunning vintage re-strike photo of both stars. Harlow's signature is rare as her mother frequently signed fan photos for her. Both Powell and Harlow signatures here authentic originals.

Joan Crawford - 3 Beautiful Oversized Portraits, One Beautifully Signed. Three lovely photographes of the great Joan Crawford. First a 10" x 13" double weight, sepia toned, vintage original portrait from the late 1930's boldly signed in blue fountain pen. On verso, someone wrote Wednesday April 13, Waldorf likely the day and place autograph was obtained. Next an 11" x 14"a vintage original portrait photo from the 1940's. The third up close 30's headshot by all appearances appears to be a vintage re-strike from the original negative of this particular famous portrait. All three in overall excellent condtion with very minor evidence of handling.
