Lot 1162		1916-D. NGC graded MS-61 Full Bands. Frosty and untoned. Popular key date that boasts a low mintage of 264,000 pieces. Most of these entered circulation at the time of issue, and today most pieces found are in very low circulated grades. Mint state coins are downright tough to find, and collector demand for these has always been high. Here is a pleasing example that will finally fill that long open hole in any advanced collection. Lot 1168		1942-D, 2 over 1. PCGS graded MS-65 Full Bands PQ. CAC Approved. A nice white gem. This overdate blunder was caused by the mint when a die was being made and placed on two different hubs. One hub was dated 1941, the other 1942, hence the overdate is bold. There is also a Philadelphia overdate of this year, but the Denver issue seems tougher to obtain nice. This is one that any collector will always cherish for its satin white luster and attractive surfaces. Housed in an Old Green Holder. Pop 16; 16 finer, 12 in 66, 4 in 66+. (PCGS # 5041) .
