These copper-nickel blend Indian cents were issued from 1859 through the early months of 1864, when the planchets were changed to bronze. Many of these early proofs developed specks or spots, so finding a gem that is this wholesome and attractive is quite a treat. Destined for an advanced collection. Only 1,000 struck.
