China. Statue made from Cash Coins: A beautiful figure made from Chinese cash coins in the style of Southeast Asia. Figure: 14.5 inches X 3.75 inches; Base: 2.2 inches X 3.3 inches. The coins were mainly struck in Qing Dynasty with names of Emperor Quianlong and Jiaqing (circa 1736-1820). The main part of the body is formed with coins, with some coins curved to fit, and the face, hands, and feet are engraved with wood. A very intricate design and very well conserved.
