Lot 943
1918, $1,000 Federal Reserve Note. PCGS Very Choice New 64. Fr-1133-L. A small group of these high denomination notes showed up a couple of decades ago, and most high grade examples come from this relatively small number of survivors. This one is as nice as any we've seen, with good margins, excellent color, and a gem appearance. PCGS Currency has certified just three examples at this grade level from all Federal Reserve district banks, with just three finer.
Estimated Value $100,000 - 110,000.
