Lot 365
1921-D. PCGS graded MS-67. CAC Approved. Lovely light blue toning on both sides. Stunning, simply stunning. Delicate toning highlights the pure satin frost on either side and boldly struck throughout. Examination with a 10X glass finds only the tiniest of ticks, and precious few of those. We can't imagine anyone finding fault with this spectacular coin, other than the well deserved strong price that it will bring! The Finest PCGS Certified example in the non-Full Bands classification. A classic rarity in gem condition that will always be the highlight of an advanced Mercury dime collection, just as its been a highlight in our consignor’s holdings before he allowed us to sell it for him. Pop 1; none finer at PCGS (PCGS # 4936) .
Estimated Value $6,000 - 6,500.

Lot 368
1926-D. PCGS graded MS-66 Full Bands. CAC Approved. Nice light hint of tone. A frosty, highly lustrous gem with intense physical and visual appeal. Sharply struck in all central areas, hence the designation; not even a hint of weakness anywhere, the wing and all legends, finely detailed and at the bottom of the 6 in the date almost bold, a very weak 6 is typical for this D-mint date. A nearly superb coin, in other words, right on the borderline of MS67 quality, and a visual treat that ought to be near the top of the PCGS Population Report: Pop 20; 10 finer, 5 in 66+, 5 in 67 (PCGS # 4957) .
Estimated Value $4,000 - 4,250.

1936. PCGS graded Proof 67 PQ. CAC Approved. Only 4,130 struck. Light hint of tone. This coin radiates attractive original toning color, with no detracting spots or problems. Everything superb! Devices are sharp in all areas, as struck and typical for the 1936 Proof, and this is most desired by collectors, which the grading service has taken into consideration in assigning the grade. A bidder’s dream come true. Pop 52; 1 finer in 68 (PCGS # 5071) .

1939. PCGS graded Proof 68. Only 9,321 minted. Well struck with a hint of tone. Silver mirror surfaces, quite lustrous in appearance, the coin sparkles. If one were to take a poll, we'd see that the strike is up to standard for the Proof Mercury Dime representative in being sharp with the outstanding metal flows on both sides into the deepest die recesses; in other words, a very bold strike. Pop 45; 1 finer in 68+ (PCGS # 5074) .
