Apollo 11 Lunar Surface Flag. This flag measures 7 ½ x 12" and was flown to the lunar surface. The accompanying handwritten COA reads "This American Flag (7 ½ x 12) was flown on Apollo 11 to the Lunar surface aboard Lunar Module #5, "Eagle". This flag was given to me by the crew upon their return, and has been in my possession ever since." The consignor worked for NASA in procurement ordering designated items to be flown. He also worked closely with the crews upon their return and was given mementos including this flag. There are several small holes in various places and a light stain. These occurred while in storage for the past 40+ years.

Hardbound with dust jacket, Little Brown & company, first edition, 434 pages with bold signatures of first two Moonwalkers and co-authors Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the title page. Some small jacket tears, book in excellent condition. The "Space Lady" has added postage stamps, tied by space themed cancel, on page prior to title page.
