Anonymous. Silver Quadrigatus (6.0 g), ca. 225-214 BC. Uncertain mint. Laureate head of Janus. Reverse ROMA incuse on raised tablet below, Jupiter, hurling thunderbolt and holding scepter, in galloping quadriga right driven by Victory. Crawford 28/3; Sydenham 64a; RSC 23. Nice wide flan. We note some scratches and a gouge on the reverse at 5 o'clock. Very Fine.
