Lot 1282
1894. PCGS graded Proof 66 Cameo. A brilliant untoned gem. Only 2,632 Proofs were made. The mint must have been on a quality regime in the year 1894 since Proofs this year tend to be outstanding. They often have strong frost on the devices and eye-catching cameos. The presently offered 1894 Liberty nickel is a prime example! Pop 16; 5 finer with 1 in 66+, 4 in 67 (PCGS # 83892) Estimated Value $600 - 650

Lot 1285
1912-S. PCGS graded MS-65. The key date in the series, especially so in gem condition. Well detailed for this more difficult S-mint Liberty Nickel, a low mintage year, with the devices much crisper and showing finer detail than is usual with the day. Spot-free and offering a soft golden glow that adds considerably to the appeal of this nearly pristine Mint State 65 Gem. Only 238,000 pieces minted. Since most reached circulation, this date tends to be found well worn. Expect spirited bidding competition. Pop 182; 30 finer, 18 in 65+, 12 in 66 (PCGS # 3875) Estimated Value $4,000 - 4,400
