Frosty light silvery gray with subtle overtones of light bluish steel and hard slightly reflective fields. Very sharply struck and quite attractive. An extremely rare silver striking of the T. Brimelow (Druggist, New York City) store card. And it came from a very famous collection. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. Estimated Value $300-UP

1863 US Civil War Store Card Token from New York City Fuld 630AQ-3d in Copper Nickel R9 NGC graded MS64. Lustrous bright silvery gray. There are some fine hairlines on the obverse and a nick on star 1, but no notable spots or stains. Later die state with several fine die cracks on the obverse and cud breaks at stars 4 & 5. A very attractive example of the popular Gustavus Lindenmueller (Beer Hall, New York City) token in Copper Nickel. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. Estimated Value $500-UP

Why this piece is in a "BN" holder is a mystery. The only defects are a couple tiny spots of darker toning on the obverse, including one nestled into the dentils just right of the date. 1864 US Civil War Patriotic Token Fuld 241/338b in Brass Rarity-8 NGC graded MS63. Frosty golden tan fading to light olive brown. There is a splash of darker olive brown toning at the dentils left of the flag and another between the V & Y in NAVY. Sharply struck on a very wide planchet leaving lots of extra metal outside the die designs. Obviously struck without employing a tight collar, and the result looks like a "railroad rim" when viewed from the Monitor side. An unusual strike of the very rare brass version.
