  Ball, Lucille. Beautiful 9¼ x 7½" photograph of a young Lucille Ball inscribed and signed, "Best and Cheers / Lucille Ball" in red marker. Large inscription and signature. Matted with a name plaque and beautifull framed to an overall size of 19¼ x 14¼". Ball (1911-1989) began as a Broadway chorus girl, than starred in "B" movies, before becoming an American icon with her popular tv show "I Love Lucy," in which she starred with her husband, Desi Arnaz.

Ball, Lucille and Desi Arnaz. Four checks, two each signed "Lucille Ball Arnaz" and "Desi Arnaz." Her checks are dated 1954 and 1960 and written to Mrs. Cotter and The Salvation Army. His checks are dated 1953 and 1954 and are made out to Bullock's Downtown and to himself. Lucy and Desi were married from 1940 to 1960 and appeared together in "I Love Lucy" (1951-1957) and "The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour" (1957-1960).

Bette Davis, Barbara Stanwyck, and Dave Clark. Sheet Music for "Don't Fence Me In" by Cole Porter, from the 1944 Warner Bros. movie Hollywood Canteen, a 1944 Warner Bros. Based on the real Hollywood Canteen, a free entertainment club for servicemen created by Bette Davis and John Garfield during World War II. Many stars had cameo roles as themselves in the film, which received three Academy Award nominations. Some wear and toning but boldly signed on the cover by Davis, Stanwyck, and Clark. With sheet music for "Old Acquaintance," signed by Bette Davis on the cover. From the eponymous 1943 movie, starring Davis and Miriam Hopkins. Very good.

Bogart, Humphrey - Signed Photo and Dressing Room Medallion. Photograph signed diagonally in the lower right corner, 9¼ x 7½". Bogart leans back in a chair, holding a pump shotgun. With a brass circular medallion, 2" in diameter, which is engraved "H. Bogart / Dressing Room / 8A" and hangs from a red cord attached to an S hook and a metal ring. Both items are matted with a name plaque and very attractively framed to an overall size of 19¼ x 18". A spectacular Bogart lot.

A 1976 United Artists promotional photo for the movie "The Missouri Breaks" showing Brando in his role as Lee Clayton. The photo is stamped "Original" on the back." Virgil Frye, to whom the photo is inscribed, played the role of Woody in the movie and was a pal of Brando's.

Cantor, Eddie (1892-1964) Born Edward Israel Iskowitz. American comedian who began his career in vaudeville and burlesque, including the Ziegfeld Follies (1917-19). He performed in musical comedies and films, on the radio (1931-39) and on television (1950-53). Archive of eleven Typed Letters Signed from Cantor to famed columnist Walter Winchell (1897-72), nine on Cantor's personal letterhead, and all written between April 24, 1933 and Sept. 14, 1964. Although in poor health the last 20 years of his life, Cantor continued working for numerous charitable organizations and periodicially sent Winchell brief letters, thank you's and updates on himself and the various non-profit organiations with which he was involved, including the Boy's Camp and the Jewish Theatricak Guild of America. Winchell penned a holograph note on one of the letters. Accompanied by two 8 x 10" photos (by Otto Rothschild) of Cantor, Winchell, and Red Skelton with press blurbs on verso. Overall fine condition.

  Davis, Bette. Sepia-toned 14 x 11" photograph of a young Bette Davis inscribed and signed in green ink, "For Helen …from Bette Davis." Helen's last name is illegible (possibly Palmer) because it is written on the dark portion of Miss Davis' dress. Diagonal creasing in lower right corner, affecting the crook of her left elbow, and some light creasing at left margin and top, lightly touching her hair and one lightly visible crease on her lower forehead and right eyebrow. Photographer's imprint on the reverse has almost completely faded. Still a beautiful photograph and boldly signed.

Miss Davis writes: "Dear Helen Rayburn, Agreed - your husband is adorable. So are you to invite me to Sandtree. I hope one day I will have this pleasure. I am returning to Cal.!! next week. Will put your Osterville address in my 'little red book'….As to 'nothing to do. I am a country woman. The days aren't long enough for what a home like yours offers. Again my deep thanks. She entered films in 1925 playing an uncredited role as a ballet dancer in the original silent film version of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) and a small role in the early talkie version of Dracula (1931). Five 8 x 10" photographic prints of the 1931 Dracula poster, each signed in silver marker by Carla Laemmle. With two prints from the 1925 The Phantom of the Opera, each signed in silver marker by Laemmle. With eight snapshots showing Miss Laemmle at an autograph show where she signed the prints.

Laurel and Hardy signed in black ink, which has faded some over the years but is of medium boldness. In the photo, Laurel is sticking his finger in Hardy's eye. The popular comedy team made over 100 films together from the 1920s through the 1940s. Matted with a name plaque and attractively framed to an overall size of 19 x 14". A great display piece.

The one-page document is titled "Consent Fixing Period of Limitation Upon Assessment of Income and Profits Tax." Welles, "a taxpayer…of Beverly Hills, California" agrees that "the amount of any income, excess-profits, or war-profits taxes due…for the taxable year ended December 31, 1945…may be assessed at any time on or before June 30, 1951…." The document is also signed by the IRS commissioner. Files holes and faint stamp at top. Welles signed in black ink.

Signatures on separate, toned album leaves unless noted: Judy Garland, who played Dorothy; Ray Bolger, who played the Scarecrow and Kansas farmworker Hunk (2 signatures, one on an album leaf and one on 1¾ x 4½" paper); Jack Haley, who played the Tin Man; Bert Lahr, who played the Cowardly Lion and Kansas farmworker Zeke (on 1" x 3¼" paper); Billie Burke, who played Glinda the Good Witch; and Frank Morgan, who played the Wizard of Oz and four other characters: the carnival huckster "Professor Marvel," the gatekeeper of the Emerald City, the driver of the carriage drawn by 'The Horse of a Different Color,' the armed guard leading to the Wizard's hall, and the apparition of the Wizard as a monstrous disembodied Head (2 separate album pages with his signature, one in pencil and one in ink).
