Lot 1906
WONDERFUL 144 PIECE COMMEMORATIVE SET. PCGS graded MS-64. An amazing set, many of the coins are in old style small PCGS holders, and we note many possible upgrades are included, some maybe more than a single mint state point! The coins are mostly untoned, but some have light peripheral toning. These were obviously hand picked by a fastidious collector who demanded top quality from this near-gem grade and no doubt many pieces were rejected to find coins of this quality for the assigned grade. Obviously, this set would save a collector untold hours of time by having a well matched set already assembled.
Estimated Value $30,000-UP.

1893 Isabella Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. One of the finest graded of this important commemorative issue. Only 85 have been graded this high, with 17 higher by PCGS. Deep blue and rose hues on both sides, with frosty luster beneath on the obverse, a bit lighter with gold on the reverse. Firmly impressed by the dies and certain to please the numismatist who wants a high-end gem example.

Lot 1912
1893 Isabella Quarter Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. An exceptional coin for the grade because of its antique blue and gold toning on both sides, and full and complete strike. The surfaces show no signs of handling, and we wonder if this coin might be a grade higher. Frosty luster under the toning, and extremely appealing for a "mere" gem of this early commemorative issue. Any collector of toned coins will love this one.

Lot 1913
1893 Isabella Quarter Dollar. ANACS graded MS-65. This coin is graced by lovely antique blue and gold toning around the periphery, with frosty luster in the fields on both sides. Fully struck by the dies, and extremely well preserved. As a gem, this important Commemorative quarter is truly desirable, few are found this nice, most were mishandled over the decades by careless owners. Back in 1893 there weren't many collectors around to preserve such a piece, and most were sold to attendees of the Exposition. If you have been searching for a gem example that boasts gorgeous toning, then bid high on this lot.

The toning on the reverse is even lighter, and what little color there is only enhances this beautiful coin. Sharply impressed and carefully preserved.

1925 California Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-66. Stunning example of this popular early Commemorative half dollar. Lightly toned around the periphery and especially lustrous. The strike too, is bold and complete. As with most of the early commemoratives, they did not sell many to collectors, hence most show signs of handling, not so here, this one is as nice and fresh as the day it was coined, aside from the delicate peripheral toning.

1936-D Cincinnati Music Center Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-67. One of only 13 so graded by PCGS, with none graded higher, in fact, of the PDS set, only 15 coins have been graded this high, and none have been graded higher! That makes this coin one of the very finest known of the type. The surfaces show a remarkable amount of frosty luster, and the strike is full and complete. The coin is toned with fiery flecks of gold and reddish toning, mostly around the edge of the obverse. On the reverse, the toning is very light and iridescent in quality. Any advanced collector would be proud to own such a coin, and you can know that this is certainly one of the very finest in existence.

BEAUTIFULLY TONED GRANT WITH STAR. PCGS graded MS-65 Premium quality. One of the nicest Grant with star half dollars that we have seen. This coin was purchased in the early 1940s and put away by a collector. It obviously hasn't been handled as the surfaces are pristine. And the color is outstanding, lightly toned with rose hues around the lower periphery and the reverse, a slightly darker rose color. Examination will note how clean the surfaces are, and we can only wonder if this coin might soon be in a higher grade holder. Look for yourself and decide, for a fresh, unmolested coin like this is a rare thing these days. A coin that a specialist will long cherish after the premium is paid.

1928 Hawaiian Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. Satiny luster over light yellow color on the obverse, a bit brighter on the reverse. Typical color for the issue, most of which languished in Hawaiian vaults for years, where humidity toned them. One faint scratch is noted up from the warriors hand on the reverse. One of the rarest commemorative halves and worthy of a top end gem collection. Only 233 so graded by PCGS, with just 29 graded higher by that service. An important offering, as such.

Deep blue toning on the obverse, with an off-center spot of russet tones centered on Lincoln's ear. The reverse toning is more centered, and we would guess that this coin stayed in a coin holder for many years to develop the deep colors seen here. 1921 MISSOURI, 2 X 4, PCGS GRADED MINT STATE-66. PCGS graded MS-66. One of the finest to survive of this rare issue, PCGS for all their years of grading has only awarded 9 examples of this commemorative this high, with none graded higher. Therefore, this is probably one of the finest known! A Missouri snowstorm of luster greets the eye as the coin is examined under a light, the periphery is darkly toned with deep gold and green. Fully struck and superb in every regard, making this appeal to virtually any collector. Only 5,000 were struck, and as this is one of the "early" commemoratives struck, most were not sold to collectors, and hence not carefully preserved. An opportunity that cannot be overstated.
