Mintage was moderate: 149,750 pieces. What few were saved were tossed about in bags, accounting for the number of low-end mint state coins, but very few indeed remain in gem condition. Frosty luster on both sides, with radiant mint bloom throughout. Boldly impressed, with no signs of weakness whatsoever. The fields and devices are stunning, without flaw or blemish when compared with others of this date.
