Skylab 3, FLOWN Heatshield Plug (1x1.5") mounted in a clear Lucite cylinder (3x2.5") that is engraved on the bottom: "Skylab III / July 28-Sept 25, 1973". Pristine condition. ALSO included is the 1978 NASA letter informing the consignor that the heat shield is available for pickup at the Awards Office. This is the first time we have seen such a letter. The letter also states that only 59 heat shield plugs were pulled from this heat shield. A scarce piece of memorabilia.a.
