Lot 254
Lindbergh, Charles A (1902-74) American aviator and author; made the first solo, nonstop flight across the Atlantic in 1927. Photo Signed ("Charles A. Lindbergh Decemb. 1955"), 3½ x 5 1/8 in., n.p. The snapshot shows a room of people facing a stage which can barely be seen. Since Lindbergh's autobiography, WE was published in 1955, this could have been taken during a publicity tour; one of the attendees probably asked Lindbergh for his autograph.
