Emmy Award With Recipient's Name Plaque Removed. Emmy award, which is a gold-colored statuette of a winged woman holding an atom. Approximately 11½ inches in height; base is 5 5/8 inches in diameter. Made by R.S. Owens. Engraved around the top of the base is "The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences." The Emmy is to television production what the Oscar is to film and the Grammy is to music. NATAS recognizes daytime, sports, news and documentary programming, technology, business, regional and global media awards. Housed in a custom-made box with the black and gold R.S. Owens symbol on the top. Excellent condition.

Liza Minelli & David Gest Wedding Favors. Two red satin heart-shaped candy boxes with "Liza & David 4 Ever March 16, 2002" printed in a heart on a 3 x 3 inch square of paper. The candy is not present and one of the bows is missing. These boxes were given as favors at the $3.5 million wedding, which has been ranked as the most expensive celebrity wedding. It took place in New York's Marble Collegiate Church. Michael Jackson was best man and Elizabeth Taylor was maid of honor. Minelli and Gest divorced the next year. The consignor's parents, who were friends of David Gest, attended the wedding.

Due to the lightness of part of the signature and uncertainty if this photo is of Karloff as Frankenstein or in another horror role, the estimate is low. Typical signature with "i" in Boris resembling "o."

Mix, Tom (1880-1940) American actor and star of early Westerns. All but nine of his 336 films, made between 1910-35, were silent. Typed Letter Signed "Tom Mix," one page, 11 x 8½ in., Boston, Mass., June 7, 1928. Written to Jack Aznakian, a young fan in Astoria, New York, who saw Mix and his horse, Tony, at an appearance in New York. Mix is sorry Jack couldn't see or hear him very well in the crowded theatre and he hopes next time he comes East, Jack will be able to see him more clearly. He is happy that Jack likes Tony so much. He also tells Jack to "be a good little boy and do what your mother says…." The paper is toned and shows its age but the typescript and Mix' signature are very clear and strong.

Taylor, Elizabeth (1932-2011) Two-time Oscar winner known for her beauty, her many marriages, and her charitable work for AIDS. 3½ x 6½ inch card signed "Elizabeth Taylor Warner." Miss Taylor was married to John Warner, a Republican senator from Virginia from 1976-82. Included with the signed card is a Nov. 28, 1979 newspaper article from a Providence, Rhode Island newspaper, The Evening Bulletin, which gives the story of Miss Taylor's presence in Providence for an address Senator Warner was giving that evening. It also mentions that "Mrs. Warner" stopped to give an autograph to a young woman. This is that autograph.

The Three Stooges. Album page, 7¼ x 6 in., Signed "From The 3 Stooges / Moe"; "Larry Fine" signed below Moe, and "Curly Howard" signed diagonally to the right. All signed in pencil. The lower margin of the page is uneven, not touching the signatures. Moe Howard and Larry Fine were part of the original stooges who began as part of a vaudeville act in 1925. Curly replaced Shemp Howard in 1932 and performed with the Stooges until 1946, when he had a stroke. The Stooges continued in various incarnations through the mid 1970s. The group was known for physical pratfalls and slapstick comedy.

Overall toning; light vertical crease at left, not affecting signatures. Curly Howard replaced his brother Shemp in 1934 but Curly suffered a debilitating stroke in 1946.

This lot includes: (1) a 1937 one-page letter of agreement between the William Morris Agency and Al Jolson, signed at lower left by Jolson, regarding the suspension of the broadcast of the Rinso Lifebuoy Radio program for nine weeks during the summer of 1937 (2) a 1945 four-page American Federation of Radio Artists contract between the William Morris Agency and Mary Pickford, who signed on the last page, agreeing to give the agency a 10% commission for a period of 90 days; and (3) a 1955 two-page contract between the William Morris Agency and Eddie Cantor, who signed on the back, engaging the agency as his exclusive agent for one year. All are intact with some expected age toning. Early signed contracts are not easy to come by.

Seinfeld wrote, "Hi Danny, I'm wishing all good things for you. Your friend, Jerry Seinfeld"; the ink from the gold marker is flaking. Photos are signed by Jason Alexander, Estelle Harris, Jerry Stiller, Len Lesser, Danny Woodburn, Richard Herd, Phil Morris, Frances Bay, and Bill Erwin. Larry Thomas downloaded a photo of himself from the internet and wrote a long inscription to Danny about soup and signed his name and "The Soup Nazi"; he also wrote a small note and signed "L.T." Barris, George. Three Of The Last Photos of Marilyn Monroe. All three of these black and white photos (2- 8"x10" and 1- 11"x14"), were photographed on the beach at Santa Monica by famed photographer George Barris and signed by him.

There is some smoke damage on each of these pieces, all originating at the top left corner and drifting downward--the most noticeable on the 8"x 10" bathing suit photo, streaking 5" down to the top of Marilyn's right arm. Having said this, the photos are still clear and presentable.

Normand, Mabel (1895-1930) Silent screen star, comedienne, producer, screenwriter, and studio owner. She was a star of Mack Sennett's Keystone Studios and appeared with Charlie Chaplin and Fatty Arbuckle in many comedies. She also wrote and directed comedy shorts for Keystone, briefly owned her own studio, and worked with Goldwyn Pictures Corporation. Her involvement in several scandals and the revelation of her drug habit ended her career. She died of tuberculosis at the age of 35. Her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is at 6821 Hollywood Boulevard.
