Our Flight In the Friendship - The American Girl, First Across the Atlantic by Air, Tells Her Story (New York--London, G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1928), 314 pages, 8¼ x 5½ in.", maroon cloth with gilt titles, no dust jacket. With 61 illustrations. Signed on verso of frontispiece. Scattered spotting to cover and some edge wear.

Hughes, Howard (1905-76) American industrialist, aviator, film producer and director, and philanthropist; known in his later years for his eccentric behavior. Hughes signed in blue ink on a folded 10½ x 8 in. sheet of tan paper. Hughes' attorney, T.A. Slack signed on the same piece of paper and added the date, Aug. 11, 1947. With a 10 x 8 in. photo of Hughes (T.A. Slack is seated at right), along with a newspaper photo explaining that Hughes was composing a statement to the press after the Senate investigation of his plane contracts was called off. A copy of the Associated Press story that accompanies the photo gives the date of this photo and the adjournment of the War Investigating Subcommittee as August 11, 1947.

Lindbergh, Charles (1902-1974) American aviator, the first man to fly solo non-stop across the Atlantic (1927). Signature and date ("Ch. Lindbergh Mar. 23, 1929") on octavo letterhead printed "Burlingame California." Slight edge wrinkling, otherwise very fine. Boldly signed in dark brown ink. Accompanied by a postcard photo of "The Spirit of St. Louis" in the Smithsonian.

Envelope Signed "Orville Wright," with silver and green cachet depicting the Wright monument at Kitty Hawk and a flying Wright plane, postmarked Kitty Hawk, N.C., 3¾ x 6½ in., n.p., Nov. 19, 1932. With a mailing label to Kennard Goldsmith in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Light toning, else Fine.
