DiMaggio, Joe - Signed Baseball. Official Rawlings American League baseball signed by Hall of Fame New York Yankee outfielder Joe DiMaggio. This ball is in excellent to unused condition with a slight 3/4" smudge on its upper right side. It is encased in a solid cherry-wood case where it sits on the bottom of a carved bat handle. The front of the case has a brass tag inscribed with Mr. DiMaggio's name. The ball is protected by a glass dome that fits directly over and into to the wood base. Case including dome measures 8 3/4" tall. Accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity from B&J Collectables, Lakewood, New Jersey, September 29, 1997. With a photo of Joe DiMaggio signing balls, of which this was one.

DiMaggio, Joe - Signed Plate. A collector's plate recreating artist Stephan Gardner's painting "The Streak" in which Joe DiMaggio achieved a record 56 game hitting streak. This plate was autographed in gold ink and has been beautifully shadow boxed in an oak frame.

The plate comes with a certificate of authorization from The Bradford Exchange--it measures 8" in diameter and the frame measures 12 3/4" x 12 3/4".

Robinson, Jackie (1919-1972) Hall of Famer who integrated Major League Baseball when he joined the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. Christmas Card Signed "Jackie Robinson and Family," c. 1953. The toned card holds a 2½ x 3¼ in. photo of Robinson's wife Rachel, son Jackie Jr., daughter Sharon, and son David, who was born May 14, 1952, and seems to be about 1½ years old. Jackie Robinson, who is not pictured, signed in black ink on the matte which covers the photo.

Fitzsimmons, Robert James "Ruby Robert" (1863-1917) British-born boxer who grew up in New Zealand. He was the first fighter to hold the world boxing championship in three weight divisions and is considered one of the greatest fighters who ever lived. He went to the U.S. in 1890 and on January 14, 1891 won the world middleweight title by knocking out Jack "Nonpareil" Dempsey in 13 rounds. Fitzsimmons beat Peter Maher in 1896 to win the heavyweight title, then on March 17, 1897, he knocked out American Jim Corbett in round 14 to retain the title. In 1903, Fitzsimmons took the light-heavyweight championship from George Gardiner by a decision in 20 rounds and made history for having won in three weight divisions. Fitzsimmons was inducted into the Ring Boxing Hall of Fame in 1954 and the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990.

Extremely rare signature, "Robert Fitzsimmons," on card of the turn-of-the-century collection of Charles Main, 2½ x 5 in., no place, no date. Light toning, else fine. Large, bold signature.

Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Thomas Hearns - 1989. Sterling Limited Edition belt buckle with 24 karat gold plating, 80/250, made by the Las Vegas Mint. At the top is THE WAR"; at the bottom is "CAESARS PALACE"; the date "1989" is half on the left and half on the right. In the center is a medallion with profile portraits of Leonard and Hearns, inscribed: "The War. Super Middleweight Championship of the World. Las Vegas." Floral ornamentation is on each side of the medallion. The fight was scored a draw although most thought Hearns deserved a split decision.
