Extremely Rare Madame Curie Visiting Card. Stamped lettering on the front identifies the card as being formerly from the "Autograph Collection of Dr. Max Thorek Chicago." (1867-1934) Polish Physicist. Discovered Radium and won the 1911 Nobel Prize for Chemistry. Inscribed Visiting Card. 3½ x 2", on cream card stock. With a lengthy inscription in French, beginning on the front and continuing on verso, concerning current research: "Ask Professor Mourea to agree to go on giving his assistance to Professor Czeruy (University of Lurro), to allow him to acquire information on a University level that is needed to him… ".
