Bowie Knife - Mexican. This 15" long knife has a 4½" bone grip, a brass guard, and a 10½" clip point blade. The blade is a hand etching of a man riding a horse followed by the words: ' Mi dueno a de cer hel y no traydor'. The other side of the blade is etched with a flying eagle. The knife comes with a hand tooled leather scabbard. This unusual piece probably dates back to the mid 1800s.

Bowie Knife, Ames Mfg Co. This knife has a 9 7/8" blade (15¼" overall), a ¾" steel guard, and a brass hilt with a 2½" inlaid ebony center. The blade has a purely decorative 2½" serration at its top rear. The overall condition of this knife would be classified Very Good. A large and unusual Bowie manufactured in the 1860s.

Bowie Knife, California. This early Bowie has a bone-scaled coffin handle with a nickel silver guard and panel and a brass pommel. The 6" clip point blade is evenly worn to a smooth grey patina. The total length is 10½". No maker mark. This bowie comes with a 6" leather and brass scabbard with an attached 4½" belt loop. Both the knife and scabbard are in very good condition.This piece was made in the 1840s.

Dagger, Fancy German. The maker is Hugo Koller Solegin. Circa 1890, this piece has a 5¾" spearhead blade, a fancy silver guard, and a 5" bone handle adorned with a detailed German silver eagle head pommel. The overall condition is Very Good+.

Civil War/Indian Wars Officer's Slouch Hat. A Civil War Period Union Officers slouch hat made in a 1858 pattern, circa 1858-1865. It is made of black felt with black silk edging. Twisted black silk and gold bullion cord ending in two acorns surrounds the crown. The unit (or Company) '#2' is depicted within the wreath. In very nice original condition.

Pistol - Cased Belgian Blunderbuss Flintlock. A composite cased Belgian Brass Box-Lock Flint Blunderbuss pistol, circa late 18th-early 19th century. A 2¾" round brass blunderbuss barrel marked; "800" and has a Belgian proof mark; an oval with "ELG"(Leige). The pistol has a sliding safety mounted just behind the cock. It has a checkered grip with a carving at the top and measures 7¼" overall. The condition of this original uncleaned piece is very good+. The case includes flash, mold, and key. The case has been restored and re-lined.

Pistol -Cased English All Steel Flint Pistol. A composite English cased all steel box-lot flint pistol circa 1740-1750. The case and accessories are circa 1790-1820. A 3", 42Cal, two stage round steel barrel with a cannon muzzle. An all steel frame and stock with light engraving. 8¼" overall length. In good working order. Period English. Accessories include mold, powder measure, and 4½" bag flask in very good-fine condition. (Note: Set is a marriage).

Powder Flask - English. A large English powder flask manufactured by James Dixon and Sons, Sheffield, circa late 18th century- early 19th century. It is copper with a brass spout and a good spring. This 7½" piece has some scattered dings on each side, but its overall condition is good with good seams.

Powder Flask - English-American. Late 18th - Early 19th Century copper powder flask with brass spout. This shell pattern flask measures 7¾" with the spout. One ½" ding is at the top rear and three small dings are at the top front. Working spring. Makes a very attractive display piece.

Sword - Artillery. An 1843 Ames Artillery sword and scabbard. This sword was used in the Mexican-American War and the Civil War. Worn by Canoneers (probably Union). The blade measures 19" and the total length is 24½" It has a brass grip with a scallop design and an eagle image on the pommel. N. Pames is the manufacturer in what is believed to be Sheffield, England (Middle letters in name are worn away). The scabbard is leather with brass that has drifted to an attractive natural patina. Overall condition of both sword and scabbard is Very Good.

Sword - U.S. Cavalry. A Civil War US model cavalry saber. Dated 1863, it has a 34½" uncleaned curved single edge blade whose tip has broken off during period of use. Marked on the ricasso; one side 'US', 'PDF', 1863 the other. Manufactured by Emersin and Silver, Trenton, New Jersey. The brass guard is stamped; 'C30'. The blade has a heavy brown patina.
