1793 C-2 R3. PCGS graded Fine-15. Slightly glossy dark olive and steel with chocolate brown toning on the highpoints. The fields and protected areas are covered with microscopic roughness, but there is no notable verdigris. The only mark is a very light rim bruise at TE in STATES. The date and legends are complete and clear. MDS with the usual fine die rust. Our grade is net VG10.

1794 C-9 R2. PCGS graded AU-53. Very attractive glossy chocolate and steel with a narrow swipe of slightly darker chocolate toning at the dentils off the bust tip. The surfaces are perfectly smooth except for a patch of microscopic planchet flakes (as struck) near the dentils right of the Y in LIBERTY. The only signs of contact are a dull, barely visible pinprick in the field near the throat and a small nick under the L in LIBERTY. Rare EDS, Manley state 1.0, before the obverse cracked from the cap to the rim. A very nice example. Our grade is EF40.

1800 C-1 R2. PCGS graded MS-63 Brown. Frosty steel brown and chocolate with specks of darker olive and steel on the obverse and a swipe of lighter tan toning on the left side of the reverse. There is a speck of raised reddish verdigris in the field before the nose and a couple small spots of fine carbon on the reverse. Just a light touch of friction on the highpoints. MDS, Manley state 3.0. The lowest curl is still complete. Our grade is net EF45. PCGS population 4 with 4 higher.

1804 C-9 R2. NGC graded VG-10. Slightly sharper with minor roughness under a glossy chocolate and olive brown patina. No verdigris, only a few small contact marks in the obverse fields. LDS with a cud break connecting RTY to the rim above. The date and legends are complete and strong.

1804 C-10 R1. PCGS graded MS-62 Brown. Crosslet 4 with Stems. Lustrous chocolate brown with frosty lighter brown toning in protected areas and darker olive brown toning on the highpoints. Great luster and eye appeal. Essentially flawless to the unaided eye, but a glass reveals a few microscopic contact marks on the neck. LDS, Manley state 3.0, with very fine radial die flowlines covering both sides and the die break through R in AMERICA strong. Our grade is MS60.

1807 C-1 R1. PCGS graded AU-55. Choice frosty tan and light brown with darker steel brown and chocolate toning covering the devices and a couple hints of very faded mint color in protected areas. Satiny mint luster covers the surfaces and this piece offers outstanding eye appeal. Just a hint of friction on the highest points of the obverse from mint state. LDS, Manley state 3.0, with a fine die crack through the tops of 07 to the bust and the top of STAT weak from die wear. Our grade is AU55 choice.

1811 C-2 R3. VG-7. Sharpness VF20 but covered with fine corrosion mixed with traces of greenish verdigris. The only marks are a half dozen old scratches on the obverse, all blended perfectly into the reddish chocolate and dark olive patina. EDS, Manley state 1.0. The date is bold and the legends are strong.

1826 C-1 R1. PCGS graded MS-63 Brown. Frosty medium brown and olive. The toning on both sides is a bit mottled, and this piece may have been lightly cleaned and retoned. A spot of dark toning rests on top of the head. Nicely struck E-MDS, Manley state 2.0. A fine die crack connects the bust tip to star 1 and the die lines right of the date and above the head are clear. Our grade is AU55.

There is a small stain of darker reddish chocolate toning at the top of star 5 and a fine horizontal scuff in the hair under the ear. LDS, Manley state 3.0. The die clashmarks are clear. Our grade is MS60. Population 59; 25 higher.

1854 C-1 R1+. NGC graded MS-65 Red. Highly lustrous mellowed mint red fading to dark bluish steel, about 75% of the red remaining. The only marks are a shallow nick under the wreath and traces of an old fingerprint above AL in HALF. This piece offers great eye appeal with lots of flash. M-LDS, Manley state 2.0. The dash left of the base of the 1 is faint and a lump shows on the upper part of the I in UNITED. Our grade is MS64+.

  Pair of NCS slabbed Half Cents, 1794 & 1804. Includes 1794 C-4a R3 NCS graded Good Details, Damaged (the damage is a large counterstamp "AO" on the reverse) and the 1804 is C-9 R2 (crosslet 4 with stems) NCS graded Good Details, Scratched (the scratches are faint and the planchet is covered with microscopic roughness). Our grade is net AG3 on both pieces. Both have an easily readable date and the attribution is noted on the NCS labels. Lot of 2 coins.
