Lot 384		Max, Peter. Flower Pot. Mixed media painting over a color lithograph on Arches paper. Hand signed by the artist. Handcolored in 1993. Fully painted in watercolor over a color lithograph, with acrylic, and colored pencil. Image size: 4 ½ x 4½ in.; paper size 7¼ x 7½ in. Matted and framed to an overall size of 18¼ x 18¼ in. Lot 385		Copy of the Dutch Painter Gerard Dou. Untitled Interior Scene. Oil on canvas, 14 x 12 in., framed to an overall size of 16 x 14¾ in. A middleaged couple is viewed through the arch of a window as they prepare a meal. The man peels a potato while the woman drinks a glass of amber-colored liquid. A fish lies on the table in front of her and vegetables lie on the window sill. Among the traits for which Dou (1613-1675) is known are his fine brushwork and his use of chiaroscuro; he often painted subjects by candlelight. A fine rendering from Dou's original painting. Lot 386		Scenic River Vista in Oil. Italian or German, c. late 18th - 19th century. A woman, with a bundle wrapped in red cloth beside her, sits near remnants of ancient ruins fallen into a river, beneath tall trees amid a hill-studded landscape. Old, darkening varnish has added a somber cast to this rather airy work. Painting shows signs of poor storage and handling, with two small holes at upper left field, some spots of rubbing here and there, and flaking to the bottom edge. A cleaning and moderate conservation would do wonders for the piece. Signed in red at lower left, but faint under darkened varnish, and not easily read. Size: 21" x 16-3/4". Lot 387		Kaci. Woman Standing In A G String. 27�" x 12 in. painting on board, signed by the artist at lower right. A brown-haired woman wears only a red G string; much of her face, arms and legs are yellow with orange tones. The board is lacking a small piece just below the signature and the upper and lower edges have some minor chipping which will not show when framed. Estimated Value $200 - 250. Lot 390		Unknown. Untitled - 18th Century British, European, or Possibly Russian Officer. Oil on canvas, 36 x 24 in. An elegant, waist-length portrait of an officer wearing a gray and red jacket with a gold vest and ruffled white shirt. His perruque is short and curled above his ears. In his right hand he holds a silver-tipped cane; on his left side can be seen the elaborate gold-braided handle to a sword. Estimated Value $1,800 - 2,200.
