Kellogg's Pep Comic Buttons, 1940s. A collection of 38 Pep Comic Buttons collected during the 1040s from specially marked boxes of Kellogg's Pep. There were five different sets offered from 1945-47, each consisting of 18 buttons. The consignor has attached the 38 buttons he collected to a colorful felt hat. From Set #2 (1946): Olive Oyl, Little King, Hans, Blondie, Uncle Willie Rip Windle, Fritz, Lord Plushbottom, Junior Tracy, Don Winslow, Emmy, Popeye, Pop Jenks, Maggie, Dagwood, Jiggs, Andy Gump, and Superman. From Set #3 (1946): Mama Katlenja, The Captain, Mac, Mr. Bailey, The Phantom, Warbucks, Chester Gump, Felix the Cat, and Tillie the Toiler. From Set #4 (1946): corky, Judy, Pat Patten, Brenda Starr, Chief Brandon, and Spud. From Set #5 (1947: Tiny Tim, Fat Stuff, Abretha Breez, Winnie's Twins, and Mama De Stross. Each button is 13/16 in.
