The strike betrays a few soft areas on each side, but this seems almost hard to notice, for the color is an iridescent golden gray artist's palette. Very special, indeed. Choice About Uncirculated.

America's First Cob 8 Reales. Similar to Calbeto-243. 26.7 grams. Unfortunately only a couple of features can be seen. D.HIS and R clearly seen and a faint outline of the lion in lower left quarter. First series Rincon cob 8 reales is the first crown of the America's circa 1568 and is extremely rare. The finest known example realized nearly $200,000 at the time. Strictly as a filler this example would be acceptable to the collector that wants an affordable example of this first crown. Poor.
