Space Shuttle Tiles. Lot of two similar tiles (6x6x1" and 5x6x1.5"), one square and one with a sloping side, and each with thick hard black top and thin soft white bottom layers. Each has yellow ID numbers stencilled on the top and red "SCRAP" handstamps on top and bottom. Excellent overall condition and well worth adding to any collection. A great pair. Note: Shuttle tiles can only be sold to American citizens and not shipped overseas.

NASA Glossy Color Shuttle Photos. A fantastic lot of mainly behind-the-scenes NASA 8x10" color Shuttle photos as issued by both the Johnson Spacecraft Center and the Kennedy Space Center. All are in pristine condition and fascinating to study. We think there are about 500/750 photos in this lot in varying numbers from STS-51F, 51G, 51J, 61B, 61C, 29, 46, 47, 52, 59, 60, 62, 67, 81, 87, etc. An important lot well worth a close look.

Space Shuttle, 1978, An Original "Space Shuttle" Program Patch (4") An original blue, white, gold patch, unmounted, with an unadorned 8x10" NASA presentation certificate that reads: "This Program Emblem is Presented to / Donald K. Slayton / A Member of the Space Shuttle Program Management Team. With Sincere Appreciation for Personal Contributions to the Development of the Nation's Space Transportation System". There is a printed signature of Robert F. Thompson, Mge. Space Shuttle Program. The original presentation envelope is included with Slayton's name typed on the front. Minor edge bends on the certificate should not detract. Unique.

Space Shuttle Presentation Certificates. Lot of four different certificates, including a multicolor 1977 NASA Group Achievement Award to Donald K. Slayton / ALT Inert Flight Test Team, a NASA "Fifteen Year Service Award", a Department of the Navy "Certificate of Appreciation" to Donald K. Slayton for outstanding performance in support of the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project, AND a 1975 certificate making Donald K. Slayton an "Honorary Citizen of the City of Atlanta". This is hand-signed by the Mayor of Atlanta. Minor faults throughout, but a fascinating group.

Space Shuttle, 1976, NASA Model Shop Wooden Casting Molds (about 12x6" and 12x9") These two solid wooden positive models were used by the model shop to make casting indentations in sand. One piece, both hand inscribed and engraved on one end, has a NASA ID that reads: "V070-613779-001 / T-7132945 / SN 785858 / WMU ID / NASA Prop / 9-76". The other piece has a mostly illegible ink ID. Both pieces are beautifully machined and were probably used to make engine part castings. Some faults, but quite unusual and great conversation pieces.

Astronaut Candidate "Group XV11" Autographed Presentation Plaque. There are 31 Astronaut Candidates in this Group and 28 of them have signed the mat (20x16") surrounding a color Group photo (14x11") that has been professionally double matted. Note the attached "Group XV!!" PATCH. The mat is inscribed at top: "To Kandy, with many thanks from the "Penguins!" and a label with the Astronaut Candidates' names is at the bottom. We note Candidates Barbara Morgan and several others that have gone into space from this class. This is the first time we have seen this Group patch and an autographed Group photo from this Group. Undoubtedly scarce and seldom available. Excellent overall condition.

Space Shuttle Autograph Lot. A fascinating lot that contains a sheet of Mexican stamps autographed by Mexican astronaut R. Neri, a NASA photo of Sandra Magnus, an STS-52 JSC crew photo, a publicity photo of Jim Wetherbee (x2), an STA-62 JSC crew photo, a JSC photo of the crew and others (signed only by the crew) plus autographs of four of the crew on 3x5" index cards, a KSC crew photo of STS-68, a similar photo of STS-87, AND a "Women in Space II" color photo that looks as if it is printed with the autographs on it. The other autographs all appear to be genuine. Unusual.

We note autographs of Scobee, McNair, Griggs, Brandenstein, Coates, Covey, Creighton, Gibson, Gregory, Shaw, Shriver, Fisher, Walker, Bluford, etc. One cover is also signed by the Head of the Astronaut Office, Deke Slayton. Many of these astronaut candidates went on to illustrious careers as NASA shuttle astronauts. An attractive lot.

1984/1989, Crew-Signed Launch Covers. Lot of four different launch covers, each with a similar homemade cachet. Included are covers from STS-51A, STS-51J, STS-61B, STS-30 (x2 different). Each of the four are crew signed. A second STS-30 cover is also included that is signed by some of the crew at Mission Control. We note autographs of Shaw, Cleave, Grabe, Stewart, Hauck, Walker, Fisher, Thuot, Thagard, etc. Some minor faults, but a generally clean, attractive lot.

The mission patches contain seldom seen patches such as "Neurolab", "Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer", "Shuttle Radar Topography Mission", "HST Servicing Mission 3A", "1st HST Servicing Mission", "Wake Shield Facility Flight Program", "FAR-UV", to name but a few. Among the Crew patches we even note an STS-51L patch. A great lot in excellent condition that is definitely worth a close examination as these were collected by a NASA insider.

Colonel Glenn in Orbit" 78rpm record in dust jacket, a FLOWN "Hitchhiker" decal in presentation folder, assorted Shuttle mission maps and documents ("Space Flight Data & Anomaly List (STS-1through 71) + Revision, Program Schedules, STS-61B Payload Operations Checklist, assorted Shuttle "NEWS" access badges, a USMP-3 VERY large nylon mission patch flag, desk flags and decals plus "original" Fisher Space Pen on original advertising card, etc. We even noted an Apollo 11 ID tag. An unusually interesting lot and definitely worth a close look.

Flight & Mission Decals Galore. A carton filled with a wide range of flight and mission decals, many of which we have not seen before. Among the more unusual we note are Kentucky Fried Chicken "Chix in Space" decals, matching "Snoopy, Manned Spacecraft Center decals specifically marked for Apollo 16 (Mattingly), Apollo 17 (Cernan, Evans, Schmitt), SL-1 (Conrad, Weitz, Kerwin, also Schweickart, McCandless, Musgrave), SL-2 (Bean, Lousma, Garriott) and SL-3 (Carr, Pogue, Gibson) and a similar, but different Snoopy patch for Alan Shepard (Apollo 14?). We also note metal lapel pins, desktop flags, buttons and other esoteric memorabilia. What this lot doesn't have in individual value, it more than makes up for in diversity and interest. Excellent condition and well worth a close look.
