Lot 1254
Vintage Cane With Silver Elephant Handle. 32½ inch wood shaft with black lacquer finish. Featuring intricate etchwork, the cane's detachable silver handle is separated by a ring of bone and crafted to depict an elephant's head with trunk, tusks, and protruding eyes. It connects to a matching silver collar that is also separated by bone and features an attached silver ring. The 3¾ inch long ferrule has the same design as the handle and collar and extends into an affixed rubber tip guard (not original). The shaft shows moderate marring and wood exposure due to faded lacquer and there is a tiny metal section missing from the end of the handle's trunk, otherwise the piece is in good condition and remains visually appealing.
