Lot 791
1889 Liberty Seated Dime. NGC graded Proof 67. Wonderful blue toning on both sides. Bright vivid iridescence in the colors, to be precise, the mirrors sparkling from below with full watery appearance. Difficult to find so superb! Something perhaps worth pausing to study is the fact that all devices were struck with the usual and desirable consistency of Proofs this year, that is, sharply by the dies, which then left behind bold elements of detail throughout. Only 711 Proofs struck. Pop 7; 2 finer in 68 (PCGS # 4786) .
Estimated Value $2,700 - 2,900.
