This is an appealing near-Uncircualted example of this popular World War II era note that was issued for circulation in Hawaii with a special overprint, so that the issue could be demonetized in the event of the area being captured by the enemy. Approximately 1.5 million notes were issued from this serial number run on the L-B block.
