  Worldwide. Early Fiscal Paper Lot, Canada, Mexico, Britain, Norway, etc. Consists of aproximately 30 checks and 5 misc. items from the 19th and 20th centuries. Among ten pieces from Canada are three 1886 checks of the Maritime Bank at St. John, N.B. An interesting group of ten Mexican checks include eight 19th century checks, four of $1000 Pesos from Yucatan payable in gold, a Ferrocarril Mexicano, and a Banco De Londres for 10,000 Pesos. Also six items from Great Britain including an unused 1870s Union Bank check with stub and a 500 Pound Scottish item with Victorian revenue stamp. Also Germany, Italy, Peru and some misc. items including a curious Norwegian document dated 18 Nov 1844 at Lillehamer. Various national revenue stamps and international bank markings enhance the interest and research potential of this fascinating group. Grades range from Fine to Uncirculated. Total of 35 pieces.
