The poster was printed by the "Plakat" ("The Poster") Printing House in Moscow. Due to its large size and fungeable nature, few examples of this poster have survived. Good overall condition and beautiful addition to any collection.

Space Art, 1987, Soyuz TM-3 Bilingual Propaganda Poster (42x32") Issued for the "First Soviet-Syrian Space Flight", this multicolor poster is written in both Russian and Arabic. Very few posters were issued originally, fewer survived the ravages of time and it is fairly safe to think that this poster is probably unique in the West. Edge faults and a center "fold" should not detract from this rare piece.
Estimated Value $750 - 1,000.

Space Art, c. 1960s, "Yuri Gagarin" Posters (17.5x28" each). Lot of three different blue/white posters that appear to be a series, but not a triptyk. Only 3,000 of each were issued, making them extremely rare by today's standards. One poster is titled: "Yuri Gagarin - Childhood", one "Yuri Gagarin - "Youth" and the third "Yuri Gagarin - The Main Constructor" (with Sergei Korolov). Great pictures on each. These would look beautiful matted and framed.
Estimated Value $750 - 1,000.

Space Art, 1980, "First Cuban Cosmonaut" Poster (22x29") This fascinating, multicolor poster pictures Arnaldo Tamayo Mendez, Cuba's first cosmonaut. He flew on Intercosmos flight Soyuz 38. Minor faults, but given the rarity of this poster, they are of minor import. This is probably the first time this poster has been seen in the United States.

Lot 686
Space Art, 1960, Russian Movie Poster (21x32") This striking, multicolor poster was issued for the movie: "The Man from the Planet Earth", issued originally in 1958. This was the life story of Konstantin Tsiolkovsky (he is pictured on the poster). Although the movie was issued in 1958, the Soviets were not issuing many films back then, preferring to reissue those that were popular. This poster, issued in 1960, was for such a re-issue. Nonetheless, this poster is quite important and is possibly unique in the West today. Minor edge faults should not detract.
Estimated Value $350 - 500.
