Lot 649
Space Art, 1950/58, Vintage "Rocket & Space" Exhibition Poster (16x23") This striking, multicolor poster was issued for a 1952 Karlsruhe, Germany "Raketen und Raumfahrt" Exhibition, Some edge/corner faults/repairs. Just try to remember the status of "Space" in the early 1950s if you want to get an understanding of just how rare this poster is. A similar poster realized $2,700 in a 2004 Swann poster auction. This is the first example of this poster we have ever seen or handled.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 3,000.

Space Art, 1950/58, Vintage "Traffic Exposition" Poster (41x24") This original, multicolor 1953, Munich Traffic Exposition shows a man riding a tricycle while holding a package and an umbrella. The poster is printed in SPANISH. Why? We are not quite sure what this has to do with "space", but we're told there was a large "Space" exhibit at the Exposition. It is a striking poster that will occupy an important "Space" on the wall of the person lucky enough to purchase it. Maybe they looked toward "Space" to relieve traffic congestion. Some edge faults, wrinkles, but a striking example of the printers art.
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,500.
