1862/1 Silver Three Cents. PCGS graded MS-65. Lightly toned. FS-007. An pleasing, frosty Gem, whose surfaces burst with mostly vivid wintry white originality over both sides. Given the proper amount of strike pressure, the coin has been carefully brought up by the dies. There are no soft areas that are often encountered on this issue. A pleasing, uncleaned example of the overdate. Pop 86; 69 finer, 58 in 66, 11 in 67 (PCGS # 3681) .

The surface lies between satiny texture and full mirror finish, a typical arrangement on Proof strikes in the 1880s.
