It is one of the best available, as to our knowledge no other example of the type has been graded any finer by PCGS Currency.

It is broadly margined, and appears to deserve even perhaps a higher grade except for a light corner fold entirely within the margin that is visible on the back at the upper left.

Atlanta is the rarest district for battleships and we expect this note will realize a price reflecting that.

This low serial numbered example is from an original pack that contained the first 100 notes from the Dallas district, most of which have survived to delight collectors today. The note has very little embossing, but the centering and margins are outstanding. The upper right corner shows a very light tip bend that is mentioned for accuracy.

1918, $2 Federal Reserve Bank Note. Star Note. CGA Gem Uncirculated 65. . Fr-779. . KL-178. This is one of only seven surviving Star Battleship notes of this number that are reported to the census. Interestingly, all but one of those grades at least AU, and most come from a small serial number range which includes this note. It has broad, even margins, clean surfaces, and bright paper. A rarity to say the least.

This example is well centered with broad, even margins, and the surfaces are clean and bright.
