1793/2 Washington Ship Halfpenny with Lettered Edge Breen-1225 VF35. Overdate 3 over 2. Glossy chocolate brown with frosty lighter brown in protected areas. There are a couple patches of fine reddish roughness at the top of the head but the remainder of the planchet is smooth and shows only trivial marks. Intermediate die state with strong swelling on the reverse and most of the undertype 2 gone.
