This rare star note is one of only about a half-dozen stars known for the issue, and is by far the finest known--all of the other known examples are VF or lower. This note falls just short of the Choice New grade, with a corner fold at lower left the only flaw. It is strictly original with bold embossing that can be seen through the holder. This piece has never before appeared at public auction, and is one of the great small size rarities to appear in the past decade. If this were a coin, the rarity and condition would dictate a high six-figure (if not seven-figure) value. As the currency market continues to boom and the demand for truly rare items easily outpaces the supply, a six-figure number for this classic rarity is not out of the question.
