1902, $5 National Bank Note. Fr-600. Large size only bank, closed in 1927 before the onset of the great depression. Throughout the 1920s, hundreds of banks went out of business each year, although many had their assets purchased by merging banks, others left their depositors standing outside of the locked front door waiting patiently for the money to be returned. It rarely was returned. PCGS graded Very Fine 20.

This is a very attractivge lightly circulated note with plenty of original crisp paper, dark black front, dark green back, dark blue charter numbers and seal. Also, the margins are complete, if a little bit close on the top left. PCGS graded About Uncirculated 50.
