1902, $10 National Bank Note. Fr-624. Clear but not bold signatures. Margins slightly askew at top and bottom but do not quite touch the design. This bank has one of the so-called Forbidden Titles, UNITES STATES not acceptable for most bank issuers, but a few were grandfathered into existence before it became unacceptable on a National Bank. Since a National Bank could and many indeed did go bankrupt, injuring their depositors, it was thought inadviseable to imply that one of these banks was in any way associated with the federal "United States" government. PCGS graded Fine 15.
