Getty, J. Paul (1892-1976) American Industrialist, philanthropist and art collector. Visiting Card Signed. 3 x 1½", on white card stock. Signed in blue ink on verso.
Estimated Value $300 - 450.
I met Mr. Getty at the private luncheon club atop the Union Bank Building at Wilshire and Western Avenues. He turned down my first request to sign his card and when I asked him why he said he never signed his name where someone could write "I owe you one zillion dollars. I showed him samples of about twenty cards signed by Rockefeller, Mellon and other heavy hitters. He signed! -- Gerry Burg.

Keynes, John Maynard (1883-1946) British economist; member of the "Bloomsbury Group." Autograph Note Signed ("JMK"), on blue card engraved, "From J.M. Keynes, Tilton, Firle, Sussex," and dated "15-5-38," 3½ x 5½ in. Addressed in Keyne's hand to Eduard Rosenbaum at the London School of Economics. In part, "The portrait, by the way, is of the Emperor of China, not of Leibniz, and should appear at the beginning of the second part…." With stamps and address on reverse side. Keynes was one of the most influential economists of the 20th century.
