1803 Draped Bust Dollar. Small 3. . Bolender-6, Rarity-2. PCGS graded VF-20. A darkly toned example of this scarcer variety. Technical wear from circulation has left lighter gray coloration on the high points. For a Very Fine example, the quality of the surfaces exceeds expectations. Identified by a small depression in the center of Liberty's neck and another just below the eye. A nice Red Book variety that is perfect for someone collecting choice early dollars in the VF range (PCGS # 6900) .

1803 Draped Bust Dollar. Large 3. . Bolender-6, Rarity-2. Sharpness of AU-50. Cleaned, retoned and repaired. Harshly cleaned surfaces have been effectively retoned. The BE of LIBERTY shows signs of repair. On the reverse, the vivid rainbow toning appears, should we say … suspicious. Sharp detail with minimal abrasions or marks.

1803 Draped Bust Dollar. Large 3. PCGS graded VF-30. Light gray with hints of steel blue, heaviest on the reverse. Even technical wear and missing any crude marks or problems. Only a single scratch through the left clouds on the reverse stands out with a loupe. A solid Very Fine early Draped Bust dollar and much nicer than many of the retoned and dark examples in this grade range (PCGS # 6901) .
