Lot 1602
1800 Draped Bust Dollar. . BB-184. Sharpness of Fine-15. Old cleaning and obverse planchet flaw. A shallow planchet flaw runs diagonally across Liberty and some coarse hairlines are seen as well. Surfaces have naturally retoned over the years and are a subtle mixture of gray, champagne and blue. A small rim bruise is noted above the first A of AMERICA.

Lot 1605
1800 Draped Bust Dollar. "Dotted date" from die breaks. . BB-194. Sharpness of EF-40. Light graffiti in obverse field. A rather intriguing example of this popular and obvious variety. As a result of die fracturing, a series of die lumps exist near the date, two specifically over the first 0 in the date. Hence, the name "dotted date". A filmy example which we will presume is artificial to some degree. Old graffiti exists in the lower left obverse field, right of stars 1-3.

1800 Draped Bust Dollar. Wide date, low 8. . Bolender-10, BB-190, Rarity-2. ICG graded AU-53. Quickly attributed by the defective curl atop Liberty's head and the space between the 00 in the date. The reverse die is attributed by the raised die flaw on the lower left side of the second T of STATES. A light translucent film resides on both sides, heaviest on the obverse. Luster still remains in the periphery and the feather detail is above average for the grade.

1800 Draped Bust Dollar. 10 arrows. . BB-195. Sharpness of Fine-12. Cleaned with rim bruises. Heavy cleaning has left a polished and shiny look to the surfaces. Lot 1619
1800 Draped Bust Dollar. "AMERICAI". . Bolender-19, Rarity-2. Sharpness of Fine-15. Environmental damage (?), cleaned. Dark surfaces with coppery high points. The life seems to have been stripped away from this coin, perhaps by exposure to the elements for too long. Relatively problem-free aside from the condition of the surfaces. A solid example of this popular variety, one with a pronounced die line just after the last A of AMERICA.

Lot 1620
1801 Draped Bust Dollar. . BB-213. Sharpness of EF-45. Cleaning. Unfortunately the quality of the obverse does not match that of the reverse on this example. Heavy cleaning, of the obverse only, has left a mirage of hairlines. Aside from a diagonal scratch across Liberty, the rest of the surfaces are free from abrasions and the detail is EF sharpness or above. In contrast, the reverse is in choice AU condition with beautiful original toning over luster surfaces. An interesting piece with plenty of eye appeal to correct for its cleaned condition.
