Lydia, Kings of. Uncertain King, before 561 BC. Electrum Third Stater - Trite (4.64 g). Head of roaring lion right, wart at forehead. Reverse: Double incuse punch. Weidauer 86-89; Rosen 655, 656. Sharply struck, with nice reddish toning. With numerous different banker's marks -- making this a more interesting bit of numismatic history. Very Fine.

Reverse: Head of Athena left, wearing crested and wreathed Corinthian helmet. BMC p. 59, 62, 63; Dewing 2533. Obverse die showing a trace of rust, otherwise bold, detailed strikes. A choice example of this issue. Extremely Fine.

Reverse: Lion left; anchor and letter above, monograms in exergue. Newell ESM 273. Pleasing obverse, but a little softly struck from worn die; the reverse fresh. Very Fine.

Also a Shekel of Tyre, Year 20 = 107/106 BC.: Melkaart head right / Eagle left (BMC p. 238, 96). First on oblong flan, with nice obverse, but softly struck, minor reverse flatness. Second with porosity, mostly on reverse. Lot of 2 coins. Coins average Very Fine.
