Cochran, Jacqueline (1910-80) Pioneer aviator; holder of numerous records; director of Women's Air Force Service Pilots during World War II; first woman to be honored at the U.S. Air Force Academy with a permanent display of her memorabilia. Photograph Signed in black ink across the top edge, no place, no date, 9½ x 7½ inches. Cochran is pictured in a Lockheed TF-104G Super Starfighter; two of her world records are noted at lower edge.

Corrigan, Douglas "Wrong Way" (1907-95) Aviator noted for his flight from New York to Ireland on July 17, 1938, after being refused permission to fly across the Atlantic by the Civil Aviation Authority. Corrigan claimed that his compass was faulty and became a national hero for thumbing his nose at authority. Photograph Signed and dated, "Douglas Corrigan 11-3-38," no place, 8¾ x 7 inches. A waist-up portrait of the brash young aviator.
