1794 High Relief head. C-4a (Rarity 4). PCGS graded AU-55. Late die state. Well struck with some clash marks on both sides as made. The planchet is quite clean, save for some minor porosity on the obverse edge after LIBERTY. The surfaces are quite choice with nice glossy medium chocolate brown color. This example fits high in the Condition Census rating, either fourth or fifth. A marvelous example that will be cherished by all future collectors. Estimated Value $7,500 - 8,000

1857 Mint Error - Curved Clip at 3:00. NGC graded MS-63 Brown. Some faded Mint red still present; otherwise, the coin is olive-brown and wine-red in color. The clip is very minor but can be seen on the right side of the obverse, where a depression in the rim can be seen (the clip prevented the metal from flowing into the deepest recesses of the die). Half Cent errors of any magnitude are rare and desirable, especially on this tougher, last-year-of-the-type issue. Estimated Value $300 - 350
