Cyprus. Kition. Pumiathon, c. 361-312 BC. Gold Half Sater (4.2 g), struck c. 332 BC. Scarce. Nude Herakles, draped with skin of the Nemean lion, advances right, brandishing club and bow; ankh at lower right field. Reverse: Lion bringing down stag right; king's name above in Aramaic, at right date (year 30?). BMC p. 22, 78-80; SNG Cop. 21. A fresh strike, with little actual wear and ample luster, but appears to have been exposed to weathering conditions -- with light marks and abrasions over most of the devices. Very Fine.
