1892. 6 Piece Proof Set. Cent thru Dollar. Proof 63 or better. A stunning proof set, all delicately toned and well matched, possibly an original set. The cent (RB) is magenta with iridescent golden highlights and is spot-free. The nickel is also spot free and exhibits light iridescent toning. The silver dime, quarter, half and dollar are similarly toned exhibiting a mixture of warm sunset hues. Only 1245 sets were made and the great majority have long been broken up. Popular as the inaugural year for the dime, quarter and half dollar Barber design. Lot of 6 coins.
