Lot 226
1807 Draped Bust Dime. PCGS graded MS-64. A very flashy coin that has blazing luster in the fields and is totally white. The devices are sharp at the centers, but the stars show the ever present weakness from the heavy die clashing seen on most examples of this date. On the lower left reverse rim we note adjustment marks which weaken the UN of UNITED. Perfect for the type collector who demands top notch quality for their collection. PCGS has graded 21 this high, with a scant 8 a notch higher and a single coin at the top as MS-66.
Estimated Value $10,000 - 12,000.

Lot 227
1807 Draped Bust Dime. PCGS graded MS-63. This is a scarce early die state of this common variety, with just faint clash marks from the shield near Liberty's ear. Normally, 1807 dimes come clashed to oblivion, and are coins only the most advanced numismatists can appreciate. Not so here, the surfaces, light gold toning and strike all add up to a classic example of this draped bust dime. Identifiable by a small mark on Liberty's forehead.
Estimated Value $6,500 - 7,500.

Lot 228
1836 Capped Bust Dime. PCGS graded MS-64 Premium Quality. Steel gray with hints of blue over luster on both sides. Evenly toned and well balanced. Fully struck on the stars and on the upper curls of Liberty as well. An important type coin for the collector, and one that must have barely missed the gem grade above. PCGS has graded 8 this high, with 14 higher of the date.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,500.

Lot 230
1840 Liberty Seated Dime. No drapery. PCGS graded MS-67. One of the very finest graded of this date, and tied with just one other specimen for top honors from PCGS! Superb light blue and green toning on both sides over frosty luster. Boldly struck as well, and this is the common "chin whiskers" variety so named for the die file lines down from Liberty's chin to her shoulder. A stunning toned coin that will no doubt excite the type collector as well as the date specialist. In an old green insert PCGS holder.
Estimated Value $7,000 - 8,000.

Lot 233
1858 Liberty Seated Dime. NGC graded Proof 65. Deep gold toning at the rims, but blazing white frost on the devices. This one will likely become a "cameo" or "deep cameo" soon as the frost is especially thick on the devices. An important offering in gem grades, and this is a scarce, low mintage date.

1859 Liberty Seated Dime. PCGS graded Proof 65 Premium Quality. Deep blue gray toning on both sides of this gem proof dime. The stars and devices are all very sharp. Struck during the final year of the with stars obverse, as the legend appeared in 1860 for the regular issue dimes. PCGS has graded only 22 this high, with 20 graded higher.
Estimated Value $2,750 - 3,000.

1860 Liberty Seated Dime. NGC graded Proof 68 Cameo. A sparkling white jewel that boasts superb surfaces and abundant mint frost. Further, only one other coin has been graded this high by NGC, that an identical PF-68 Cameo. From a technical standpoint, these aren't found better either, as the best regular proof issues graded are PF-68, with just 2 others seen that high. Devoid of toning, and a monumental coin for the specialist.
Estimated Value $6,000-UP.

1942 Mercury Dime. 2 over 1. PCGS graded MS-65 Full Bands Premium Quality. A magnificent stunning gem of this rare overdate! The surfaces are totally pristine and the strike is bold throughout, including the full bands on the reverse. Toned with lovely russet hues on the lower obverse, with even more russet peripheral toning reverse. As to the overdate feature, it is bold and can easily be seen. After examining the surfaces with a 10X glass, we can scarcely find a single tick mark, and wonder if this one might be graded even higher. Regardless, it is a phenomenal gem of this rare overdate, and one of just 9 so graded by PCGS, with a total of 4 graded higher, all MS-66 FB above. A rare opportunity for the specialist.
