1907 $20 St. Gaudens. High relief, Roman numerals, wire rim. MS-60+. Mounted in a custom Capital Plastics holder, including a cloth cover, this coin makes an excellent display item. The surfaces are clean and well preserved, and the many strikes combine to form "our most beautiful coin". Good luster and well preserved, and worth a strong bid from a collector.

Lot 4123
1907 $20 St. Gaudens. High relief, Roman numerals, flat rim. NGC graded MS-61. A moderate grade for this most popular coin. The strikes (all 6 or more of them) combine to bring up the deeply engraved devices, including remarkable depth to the eagle and Liberty. We note a bit of haze on the surfaces, and the rims show minor handling from the last nearly 100 years of being shown off as the pinnacle of quality by the United States Mint. If you have always wanted an example of this issue, and didn't want to spend a five figure price, then here is a lovely example that should suit a collector well.
Estimated Value $6,000 - 6,500.
